Introduction: Welcome each child as they arrive to Sunday School. Have the kids sit in a circle and play a never ending game of hot potato. They will pass the ‘potato’ (or stuffed animal, or small ball) in a circle while music is playing, until the music stops. When the music stops, the child who has the potato must stop and say something that they know about God. The music then starts again and the game continues.
When you are ready to end the game say, We could keep playing this game forever and it will never end. This is how God loves us. His love never ends and He is always with us. Let’s read some Bible verses to help us see that God is with us now, in the past and in the future.
Biblical Evidence: Read Deuteronomy 2:7 to show that God has always been with us. Say, Moses was a great leader of the Israelite tribe. He led the people out of Egypt and threw the wilderness for 40 years until the people were ready to enter their new home in the promised land. God told Moses that He would allow the Israelites to enter the promise land only after they wandered in the desert for 40 years because they doubted Him. It was a very hard 40 years but God never left the Israelites. He was always with them, even though they had sinned against Him. As a Christian, God will always be with you, also.
Read Hebrews 11:24-30 to show that God is with us always. Say, Again, we see that God was with Moses through his whole life. Moses started his life as a Prince in Egypt, but God was with him and he learned to trust God. God was with him when he left Egypt. God was with him when he led the people through the red sea. God was with him when the people were in the wilderness for forty years. God will also be with you no matter where you go in life. God’s love for us is constant. It never ends.
Read Deuteronomy 31:8 to show that God has promised to always be with us. He will never leave us. Say, What is God telling us to do here? God is telling us that He will go before us, always be with us and will never leave us alone. What does God not want us to do? He does not want us to be afraid because He is with us.
Ask the kids to think of a time when they were afraid. Remind them that even in times when they are afraid that He is with them. Discuss that God will never leave them wherever they go and whatever they do. We are God’s children and He constant in His love for us.
Hula-Hoop Relay: This is another never ending game that you can play to reinforce the idea that God is with us forever. The children will stand in a circle holding hands. Place the hula hoop on the arm of one student so that it is looped through the circle that they are making. The class must pass the hula hoop around the circle without letting go of each other’s hands.
Heart Bracelets: String heart shaped beads onto a pipe cleaner to make a bracelet. Emphasize that bracelets are circles and circles are never ending just like God’s love for us.
Duck, Duck, Goose: Place the traditional children’s game duck, duck, goose with the kids. Again this is a game that can go on and on forever just like God’s love for us.
Review Questions: Use the follow questions to review the lesson. If the answer to the question is yes the kids should stand up. If it is no, they should sit down.

- God is too busy for us sometimes. (no)
