Memorizing the New Testament Books of the Bible

Looking for something for your students to be working on for a month or two? Do you want your students to memorize the books of the New Testament, in order? Here’s a schedule that you can give to them to work on it. They will start with the first week and then keep adding on to that for the following weeks.
4 Week Schedule
Week 1 – Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1st and 2nd Corinthians
Week 2 – Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians
Week 3 – 1st and 2nd Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James
Week 4 – 1st and 2nd Peter, 1st, 2nd and 3rd John, Jude, Revelation
8 Week Schedule
Week 1 – Matthew, Mark, Luke, John
Week 2 – Acts, Romans, 1st and 2nd Corinthians
Week 3 – Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians
Week 4 – Colossians, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians
Week 5 – 1st and 2nd Timothy, Titus
Week 6 – Philemon, Hebrews, James
Week 7 – 1st and 2nd Peter, 1st, 2nd and 3rd John
Week 8 – Jude, Revelation
This is something that can be done any time during the year, but it might be a good thing to do with your students during the summer, making it a summer project. You could make it a competition by listing your students’ names on a poster board and checking with them each class time, filling in what they’ve memorized so far. Make it a fun project to memorize the books of the Bible for your kids!!
