This cartoon clip-art style pictures shows Jonah running away from God. The illustration shows two directional signs, one points toward Nineveh and the other toward Tarshish. This scene is from the first chapter of the book of Jonah.
Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before me.” But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went on board, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the LORD. (Jonah 1:1-3 ESV)

Thank you Carlos for your excellent illustration of Jonah running away from God. I am sure that as the children color the page it will help them to understand the lesson more clearly. May God bless and prosper you in your endeavours.
Thank you, Carlos. I am using the Bible animals for lessons for our preschoolers during church-time. We are not in actual Sunday school during this pandemic, but have coloring and classes for the parents to administer.
Most Jonah pictures include a fish. We are emphasizing God’s presence and Jonah’s inability to run from God’s presence. This picture is perfect. Thank you!
