Life can sometimes be a little scary and uncertain, can’t it? Even in the Bible, people faced challenges and unknowns. Just imagine being a shepherd out in the fields, a wise man following a star, or Mary and Joseph being told they would have a very special baby! That’s a lot to handle! But guess what? They weren’t alone in their journeys, and neither are we. God was with them every step of the way, showing His love, guiding them, and turning their faith into miraculous experiences. This curriculum will teach kids that when we trust God, we too can discover joy, love, and miracles in our everyday lives.
The curriculum is divided into five lessons, each focusing on a different hero of the Nativity:
- Shepherds: Humble Witnesses to the Glory of God – This lesson teaches children that God reveals His love to those who listen, just like the shepherds who were the first to hear the good news of Jesus’ birth.
- Wise Men: Earnest Seekers of the Divine Promise – The Wise Men’s journey teaches us that when we genuinely search for God in our lives, He will lead us right to Him.
- Joseph: Steadfast Obedience in the Midst of Uncertainty – Joseph’s story shows us that God supports those who obey Him, even when it’s challenging or doesn’t make sense.
- Mary: Trusting God in the Midst of the Miraculous – Mary’s trust in God led her to be part of the most extraordinary event in history: the birth of Jesus. Her story teaches us that when we trust God, even when things seem impossible, we can experience His miraculous love.
- Jesus: The Greatest Gift of God’s Love – The central event in the Nativity story, Jesus’ birth, shows us that Jesus is the greatest gift of God’s love. His coming to earth as a baby, growing up to die for our sins, demonstrates God’s immense love for us.
The “Heroes of the Nativity” curriculum is more than just a series of lessons; it’s a journey through the Christmas story that directly connects children to the essence of the Gospel. It’s about forming a personal relationship with Jesus and trusting Him to forgive sins.
The curriculum is available for instant PDF download and includes a variety of attention-keeping learning activities, easy-to-follow lesson plans, discussion questions, prayer guides, memory verse activities, printable word search worksheets, Bible story coloring pages, and craft activities. It’s perfect for Children’s Ministry, Kids Church, or Sunday School for Christmas.
We believe that this curriculum will help children deepen their understanding of Jesus’ saving love and encourage them to find joy in trusting Him. We can’t wait for you to experience it with your children’s ministry!
May this Christmas season be a time of joy and discovery as we journey together through the stories of the heroes of the Nativity.
